Best ever dessert is gelato from Italy. I've tried several gelatos here in Ohio and they don'e come close in flavor. I've tried making it and don't have it right yet. I loved the intense flavor and getting back to Rome isn't in my plans.

Ok the bestest ever dessert is red velvet cake with butter cream frosting that my momma makes. It is so good...so very very very good. I remember taking to to school in cup cake form (well back when home baked goods were still allowed) and i remember it for dessert with sunday suppers with my family. It is so awesomely good:)

My mom's snickerdoodles. It's from a recipe that's been passed down in our family and I've never found another that comes anywhere close to the one's she makes.

My fave is homemade truffles that are rolled in either nuts or cocoa powder. They are so rich that you only need to eat one…. or two…. or perhaps three!

My friend invited me to dinner with her very rich family at a fancy Italian restaurant, where we had an equally rich and fancy dessert. The name was too long and Italian for me to remember, but I do remember how marvelous it tasted. I was already stuffed full of pasta from the dinner, but when this chocolate wonder came to the table, I couldn't help but eat every last bit! It was like a small chocolate volcano, with a hidden fudge bottom, gooey dark chocolate for lava surrounded by a fresh vanilla cream bedding, topped with strawberries. All of that, drizzled with dark, milk, and white chocolate and sprinkled with chocolate shavings. Not only was it by far the best-tasting dessert I have ever had the honor of consuming, the presentation was wonderful as well! The whole dinner was candlelit, and they layered the dessert plate in a delightful, marbled mix of melted chocolates. It was almost too beautiful to eat! I can't even imagine how much that dinner must have costed, so I am grateful to my friend and her dear family for giving me such a blissful dessert experience. When it comes to this nameless dessert marvel, sometimes money can buy you happiness! =)

Warm apple pie with a crust that crumbles, vanilla ice cream and caramel. It is the only thing I like better than chocolate!

So hard to pick one favorite dessert. I love a recipe that my mother makes called Texas Fudge Squares -- the most decadent frosted brownies you've ever tasted! I'm also crazy about chocolate-chip meringues and just about any kind of ice cream, but particularly cinnamon ice cream from Max's Best in Washington, DC. So good!!

fav desert, oh my, I have so many!
All time fav is banana bread, good for everything, after dinner, with coffee, etc. Then there are cream puffs that we get from T&T supermarket, so yummy.
