I live in a collegetown called Urbana, IL; I’m a grad student in library science to be a youth librarian; single; no kids; sables and world peace cookie recipes; i made the world peace cookies too salty but the sables were nice; i like these chocolate chili bites:

I’d say more, but I’m in the middle of cooking dinner right now! (squash and apple bake, baked cauliflower, chicken salad sandwiches, and hard cider)
I live 3 miles from DC with my boyfriend and our dog and no kids. I work for the most popular telecommunications company in the world (starts with an A…ends with a T…and another T) and just became a regular checker-inner as I just started really baking as a hobby. I will be 29 in January, if ya care 🙂 I’ve got your blog on my RSS feed thingamabob and have made the World Peace Cookies (and they made the cut for my Christmas gifting). I also made the Chipster-Topped Brownies. I must say, they were really good but as with all the things I bake, I put them in the freezer to keep myself from eating them all at once. I came home from work one day and really wanted one and took it out of the freezer and started eating it without defrosting…it was BETTER (imagine that if you can) frozen. It almost tasted like fudge ice cream. So now that’s how we are enjoying the remaining squares.
I live in Singapore, at the other side of the world from you. I’m 26, work for an NGO that helps people in Asia. Extremely single at the moment, guess nice boys are thin on the ground in any part of the world. 🙂 I’ve tried your world peace cookies recipe and your banana bread one (i think). The cookies were fabulous, have baked them twice more since and am absolutely incapable of not stuffing them into my mouth every chance I get.
like shimei, i live in Singapore. i’m 16 and have an insane obsession with baked goods(: i haven’t quite tried any of your recipes, but i definitely will in due time. yupp! i really like the way you present your posts, with all the lovely square thumbnails!(: and well, apparently, the marriage and kids aspect doesn’t exactly apply to me 😛
I live in Australia, I’m usually a teacher but I’m currently on leave after baby #2, (one girl, one boy). I have a cupcake obsession and also love my Kitchen Aid mixer. I seached the net for the perfect cupcake recipe and came across your vanilla cupcakes (archive May 06). I baked them, (after a few modifications to make them Ausie friendly) and they were GREAT! So great in fact, that today I made a chocolate version of them which also worked beautifully. Thanks so much for such great recipes, keep up the good work!
Megan here–I live in Texas with the husband, a 1 year old munchkin and two small dogs. I cook and bake a lot though I haven’t tried anything from the website yet. Not that I haven’t put a few things on the list 🙂
I used to work for the US Fed. Government but I ran away about a month ago and now I’m a stay at home mom. My own blog is mainly about my knitting/spinning hobby though I do throw a lot of recipes and cooking/baking stuff up there as well.

Hi, I’m a dedicated lurker and haven’t yet made anything, but have a laundry list of things to make… I live in New York. I’m in finance (exciting stuff, no?) Not married, but living with my boyfriend. No kids (unless you count our communal rooftop vegetable garden as kids, in which case I’m an absentee mother). Your blog is great, really, and I should have commented on it earlier – I love reading it! As for nice Jewish boys… hmmm… I know of one. But he’s an i-banker and last I’ve seen him has been a year ago, I think he lives in the office! And he’s in NYC – are you willing to switch coasts? 😉

24 single NY “ballabuster” here…live with my 2 dogs and work in sports radio. And let me tell you…NO ONE loves cutesy cupcakes more than big meathead athletes!! (i know from experience!!)

Cookie dough cupcakes are fabulous as are the chipster brownies. I made the oatmeal sandwiches last week and found the actual cookie to be tasteless, so I agree with you on that one! The icing was delish! I’m on a “coffee cake” kick right now and have experimented with numerous recipes. Do you have any good ones to post?

Hi there! I am a second year grad student at Purdue University (in Indiana) in the throws of my master’s thesis on animal domestication and animal use in ancient Peru. So, basically I study ancient diet (for now) which is ironic since I started a food blog to have something *besides* my studies to think about.
I havent tried any of your recipes, though I have a couple bookmarked for later.
I am 26, gorgeous (haha), and too am looking for mr. right. By the looks of the names listed above, food blogging aint a good way to find men! I love shoes, dairy products, and a dry gin martini with blue cheese stuff olives, just in case my previous statement turns out to be untrue.
I am currently looking for a good recipe to use with szechuan peppercorns, and would love for you to try any of the recipes on my site. They are all pretty tasty and fairly easy too.

So much more tiring than those 13 hour days I used to work!) I miss my long hours in the kitchen though, and so I live my vicarious food dreams through the pictures and recipes of others…and sometimes borrow the recipes and doodle with them to make them my own. I’ve been a avid reader of your blog for some time now! My name is Kat, I live in upstate NY with two puppies (who blog), and a boyfriend of 7 years who has comittment problems. Well, I found your blog last year somehow….I can’t quite remember how, but I have been obsessed with it ever since. I am Ehme. Originally from Montana, living in Maine via New York. 32 years old. Married to a cook. I came here after doing search for the Magnolia Red Velvet Cake when one of my friends asked me to make her cupcake wedding cake. I have since made bajillion of the suckers, and actually purchased the cookbook so I don’t feel like a thief. I have made heart shaped ones for a dessert bar in town, four layer red velvet cakes, and a bunny shaped one for a spring birthday. It is the only thing I have ever made from your blog. Well that and the best ever buttercream…which was fabulous. I am a self-employed bookkeeper for a real job and a baker for hire for fun money. Actually, on my baking price sheets I have Red Velvet Cupcakes as $100 a cupcake, because I am so sick of making them.
Every once in a while after a particularly successful event I think about opening a real bakery, and then I come down off my high and realize that I don’t want to work that hard.

I live in Long Beach, CA with my husband and three kidlets. I am a rabbi and actually am just plain awful in the kitchen dept. However, your blog is empowering and my son refers to your favourite chocolate chip cookies as my “new cookies.” Apparently he prefers them to my old cookies. Which were the break-apart Nestle cookies that made me feel less guilty for never making homemade stuff for the kids.

Well, myself is a newbie engineer, trying out recipes everynow and then, sometimes ending up with overly-runny cookies or muffins that refuse to rise, in the sunny island call Singapore. When heaven is good, i’d get edible chocolate-banana cakes and brownies i can proudly share.

Anyways, I bake for pure fun, stress relief is what it really is. I use your sugar cookie recipe constantly. Actually, yesterday was my most recent encounter with it. I mean what else is a good Jewish girl going to do on Christmas day. I discovered your blog actually on a hunt for sugar cookie/icing recipe. I have been in love with it ever since.
When not searching for baking recipes I work as an admin assistant for a Real Estate firm. However, my true love lies in sports and working in college athletics.

Hey there. I’m writing from Atlanta and must say I’ve never even looked at a food blog before today. I rode up in an elevator yesterday toting a backet full of goodies for my co-workers and someone in the elevator (nothing like a basket full of food to get people to actually talk in an elevator) suggested visting smittenkitchen.com.
