This recipe uses packets of vanilla pudding mix which gives them a sweet and delicious taste. Nice and chewy, these are always gobbled up by my coworkers in no time.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookies
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture.

Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

Makes six dozen cookies.

I tried this recipe last night and it turned out great! A bit on the sweet side (for my taste), but the cookies were moist, chewy, and tasty. According to my boyfriend, this batch was “a vast improvement” over my last batch of cookies (no thanks to Nigella Lawsen). Thanks for sharing! I am absolutely going to make this again.

This recipe is the exact duplicate to the 5 star recipe from “allrecipes” under the title of “Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies” and is also printed in the AllRecipes Cookbook. I’ve had both the recipe and cookbook for a number of years and can attest to the worthiness of the Award Winning Red Ribbon received by the daughter, along with the 3659 reviewers from the allrecipe website…enjoy!

[…] What I do forgot is that I can’t get everything done in the amount of time allotted to me each day. And I still have never been good at saying “no” to requests. So of course I was the first parent to volunteer to bake 4 dozen cookies for the oneg tomorrow night. I was actually hoping to use my new favourite chocolate chip recipe that I found from my new blog-friend, Hilary. And yet as the week progressed, and the fatigue progressed, it became clear that baking from scratch was going to be too labour-intensive. […]

I saw this exact recipe on allrecipes.com. Might want to cite your sources, unless you are the owner.

I just tried this cookie recipe, I had to half it because I only had one box of pudding.they were ok,they didn’t spread as much as I would have liked them to,but the taste was still good. I think I’ll stick to my other recipe, thanks for sharing.
