Mmm, Popsicles

There won’t be any new posts until the new year as I’m finally getting my tonsils out on Tuesday. It’s been six months of chronic Strep, and I am beyond excited to start the new year sans infection.

In the meantime, please tell me any of the following:

  • How did you find your way to my blog?
  • Have you tried any of the recipes I’ve posted, and if so, which did you like or not like?
  • Do you have a favorite recipe you think I’d like, and if so, please share it.

Happy Holidays!

I found your web site by total accident. I was doing a search for a cup cake carrier and your blog came up. I have not tried any of your reciepes….yet. I plan on making the apple pie recipe this week! Snickerdooles are a holiday favorite in my house, so I already have the recipe. They are a seasonal delight, yes?! 🙂 Sorry, I’m not a culinary genuis so I don’t think I have any recipes to impart to you. I hope your surgery goes smoothly and no complications.

    Happy holidays to you!

I made the pretzels- they came out great. The peanut butter I drizzled over some of them seemed to stick fine. I worried over nothing. I made the toll house bars- my husband loved them. And I made your original vanilla cupcakes. Gosh- I’ve made alot from your site! Kinda weird. I just really find the photos and the instructions and notes very helpful. Hope you get better really soon. Never done the tonsil thing but the wisdom teeth was a breeze….happy holidays

I’m not sure how I got here. Maybe you posted a comment on my blog?

I made your recipe for yellow cupcakes, that had the texture of boxed (which is a really good thing). They were awesome.

    Good luck with your surgery!

I found it through the voting on the Food Blog Awards. It is definitately one that I will be looking at regularly. I love my KitchenAid too and I love the fact that you do baking!! That is my forte too! Haven’t tried a recipe but will soon!

Good luck on your surgery and come back soon!

You blog was linked on other food blogs I read. (Great by the way!) Although I do not like sweets & have not made any of your recipes, I like to bake and love your blog. My favorite recipe (of late) is couscous cooked in chicken broth with pine nuts, green inions & fruit. I change it up with dried apricots, cherries, currants, cranberries or raisons. YUM!

Best of luck with the surgery and speedy recovery!

Hi, Hilary, I hope your surgery turned out fine!

I got here through a friend of mine’s blog (in Portuguese), she linked you there (

I haven’t made any of your recipes yet because I have to lose weight and cut down the baking madness a little. lol But I intend to make many of them as soon as I can!

One recipe that you may like is chocottone, which is a panettone with chocolate chips instead of glace fruits. I baked some this Xmas to give as gifts. Recipe and photos here: http://technicolorkitcheninenglish.blogspot.com/2006/12/chocottone.html

    I hope you like it!

    Happy New Year!

    Best regards from Brazil,
    Patricia.

Found your website searching for Snickerdoodles. Love this site as I too am in love with my new kitchenaid. I’m 42 years old and have never had one until a month ago. I’ve baked more in the last month than I have my entire life. Today we made your snickerdoodles – me, my 7 year old daughter and her two best buddies. They LOVED rolling the dough into balls and then into the cinnamon sugar mixture. And the cookies are delicious. Thank you for your contribution!
